I found this gigantic studded braclet at Bebe a few weeks ago, but opted for a cute studded belt instead. I was thinking that I would be practical and not splurge on a bunch of accessories, but then I kept thinking about the stupid bracelet. I even had a dream about it. That it was on my wrist and it looked great (my dreams are so exciting!)... But, I went online and could not find it. I was bummed out and figured it was out of stock and tried to forget about it. Then, tonight, on a whim, I went back online just to see if it was there and... Yes! Hooray!

Just Splurged on the Cutest Vivienne Westwood Heals!

Against my better judgetment and in the face of several utility bills, I purchased these Vivienne Westwood shoes this morning. I am so thrilled! Just a few weeks ago, I posted a blog about the new Melissa Lady Dragon Sandals that sold out in the United States pretty much as soon as they were released. After several weeks of searching for a pair, I finally found them available in the UK on the website My-Wardrobe.com! Sure, the shipping was $35, but who cares?! I ended up not getting the blue and red that I had originally pined after when I found these awesome black heals with the traditional Vivienne Westwood symbol on the toe. So cute!

I got another Versatelier Corset!

After working at The Bat's Day Black Market for Versatelier (the new Versatile), I was given a custom corset of my choice as payment. Of course, I got the Laced Romance Corset that I have been wanting for months.



THEN, last week, I did a photo shoot for their new catalog. Yay! Monique Antoinette did the photography with her BF from Dark Interest Hair. I haven't seen many of the photos yet, but I hope they turned out well. I was so hot and hungry, I almost passed out during the shoot. Haha, I thought I was a pro at corset-wearing, but apparently not! Anyway, as payment for doing the photo shoot, I received another corset. This time I picked the Antoinette corset in black satin. Such a pretty basic corset. I love it! I can't wait to do more work for Versatelier in exchange for more corsets!

I want these Vivienne Westwood Shoes!

Unfortunately, I can't find the Melissa Lady Dragon Sandals in my size. I looked at one point, but they were all sold out. Then I looked again recently, and most stores had re-stocked but then sold out again in my size! Grrr I am never going to have these. I hate, as a consumer, to have the money to purchase an item, to have the desire to purchase an item, but not to have access to that item! It drives me crazy!



I had the same experience the other day when I was the highest bidder on a Jessica Kagan Cushman bangle... I totally thought I had won the item, then I discover that I hadn't met the reserve amount. Ebay pisses me off. I'm bidding again today. We'll see how it goes.

Heavy Red stopped carrying my favorite gloves!

A while back I purchased a pair of really awesome gloves from Heavy Red. I recently realized that at some point over the past several months, I lost them. So, I went to the Heavy Red website to re-buy (something I do fairly often) and they are no longer available! I can't even find them on eBay! I'm so disappointed! Usually striped gloves are ridiculous and look very adolescent, but these were actually really cool and I'm doubtful that I will find something like them again. Bummer...

I am so in love with everything Michael Kors has been coming out with! It's a little pricey at times, though I can usually find a few items that are in my range. Especially when things finally go on sale... I'm trying to decide whether or not I can stretch my budget and get this stuff!!

The Bat's Day pre-celebratory "Black Market" gothic fashion convention this year was a blast. I had way more fun working for the VersAtelier booth Saturday night than I had wasting time, not riding rides and getting uncomfortably drunk at Disneyland. Needless to say, I discovered several awesome dark fashion designers and boutiques, but one stuck out to me more than the others. They had a gigantic and beautifully decorated area set up right in the middle of the largest room at the convention; full of vintage inspired lolita hats, petti coats, huge Victorian dresses and parasols. Not having much money, I wasn't able to actually purchase anything of theirs at the show, but I took their card and checked them out online a few days later. I'm still impressed with their dresses and hats, but discovered that their men's designs are really fantastic. Very Vampire-looking which is not always a great thing... But these particular pieces I thought were just nice looking and not entirely too costume-y.

I feel stupid...

The whole big mess that I talked about last week with Mod Cloth and them not having the size medium shorts which forced me to buy the large and then have them altered... Not a mess at all. The stupid large shorts fit me. Perfectly. I'm a little happy because they look so cute and also, obviously, a little sad.

ModCloth is kind of a cool company

Shorts are difficult for me to wear. I am kind of thick-thighed and my legs are pale, so showing them off in short skirts or shorts is not something I usually do. Not unless I am wearing tights or leggings. So, when I found these shorts on ModCloth, I was really excited. They are the perfect length to hide what needs to be hidden, but they are still super and cute and the giant bow makes me feel like the focus will be there instead of on my thighs.



Imagine my disappointment when I received any email from their support team letting me know that the Bo Derek Shorts in size medium were out of stock! I almost cried. For a girl who can't ever find the right pair of shorts, this was a big loss for me. I took a deep breath and tried to remind myself that this a pair of shorts and I shouldn't become so attached to material crap like clothes. I read the rest of the email... They refunded my money and gave me a really sweet 20% off coupon for the inconvenience. Immediately I realized that the 20% off would almost equal the amount of money it would take for me to buy the large Bo Derek shorts and have them altered! haHAHAHA! Now I'm all giddy. Sometimes I feel a little nuts and worry about what is going to happen to me when I am in law school with no dispensable income. Spooky Couture will be a hypothetical shopping blog, for sure.

Dandelion from Benefit - The Perfect Blush

I'm am definitely a makeup/product experimenter. I have more eye shadows, lip glosses and face lotions than I can store. Or use. It's ridiculous.

BUT... the one thing I never experiment with is my blush. I mean, I have tried a couple times to change it up, but I always go back to the same thing. Since I was like 16. There is just no other blush that is as delicate and matte and flowery and flattering as Dandelion. Even if I am trying for a more dramatic hot pink Lolita doll look, I still put Dandelion OVER the hot pink. I think that there is really nothing better :]
